Adaptive Eyewear is a UK-based social enterprise founded in 2006 to fulfil the vision correction needs of underserved populations in the developing world.
An estimated 1.3 billion people around the world could benefit from wearing eyeglasses, but in many countries eye care infrastructure is lacking and the existing services and products are unaffordable.
Our aim is to make adjustable eyeglasses, which focus at the turn of a dial, available to populations where access to eye care services is significantly limited or has been disrupted by natural or other disasters.
